Stromlings are the Maelstrom-infected minions of Baron Typhonus that spread chaos and destruction wherever their master sends them. They form the main antagonistic body of enemies throughout Project U, though they originated in LEGO Universe.

Physical Description[]

Having a wide variety of breeds, there is no single physical description that can be generalized for all of the breeds. However, there are some general guidelines that can be used to describe different categories of stromlings.

Human-like stromlings are the most distorted, as their skin is partially melted off, revealing their infected bones. Their heads are usually plain purple, with red eyes and no mouth. Most have some sort of tool growing from where one of their hands used to be. All of them glow purple.

Animal-like stromlings are less distorted, as their body shapes remain the same. The only changes seen with these stromlings is that their skin is all black, they are considerably stronger and more aggressive, and glow purple.

Robot-like stromlings are the least distorted, as their external colors rarely change. These usually look the same as before, just glowing purple.

Characteristics[]

Regardless of breed, stromlings all have one thing in common: they will blindly obey the orders of their master, Baron Typhonus, and will not rest until all creation has been destroyed. They are all extremely aggressive and will not think twice about killing anything in their way or destroying all that is around them.

Before Mustache Maniacs Film Co.[]

Stromlings started out as enemies that players destroy in the massively-multiplayer online game LEGO Universe. There, their origin story is the same as it is for Project U: Baron Typhonus creates them after assuming control of the Maelstrom and gaining the name of the Darkitect.

Beyond LEGO Universe, stromlings also appeared in the role-playing games Dino Attack: At War's End and LEGO Universe RPG. In both, stromlings also serve as enemies that the players may destroy. However, unlike LEGO Universe, these games also allowed players to be transformed into stromlings.
