Sherpa Sangye Dorje is a Himalayan Sherpa guide that guides the Adventurers to the Temple of Mount Everest. He owns the climbing store Climb 'R Us in Kathmandu and first appeared in the LEGO Orient Expedition product line.

Character DetailsEdit

Physical DescriptionEdit

Sherpa Sangye Dorje has an dark orange vest that keeps him warm, along with some rope slung over his shoulder and a knife tucked into his belt. His pants are light gray, his hair is black, and his fur hat is brown.

CharacteristicsEdit

Sangye Dorje is a confident and enduring climber who is happy to lead Johnny Thunder and the rest of the adventurers through the mountains. While not entirely comfortable with using it, he also has a hot air balloon called the Aero Nomad that he uses to navigate the mountains. However, he is always on the lookout for what he calls the "Rashaka," or Yeti.

Before Mustache Maniacs Film Co.Edit

Sherpa Sangye Dorje first appeared in the 2003 LEGO Orient Expedition sets as a sherpa guide, the same role he fills in Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo. There, he is also confident in his abilities to navigate the mountains, though he and the rest are less then lucky when they fall for Ngan Pa's trap.

He only appears in one set: 7417 Temple of Mt. Everest. However, his image also appeared in promotional materials for the theme, such as a kid's menu for Applebee's, sticker sheets, online animated comics, and more.

TriviaEdit

  • According to freewebs.com/mylego, Sangye's father's name is Kalden.
  • The name of the store he runs, Climb 'R Us, is a reference to the toy store chain Toys 'R Us.
  • Just like Johnny Thunder, he is a big fan of Dan Brown's books.
  • His name is Tibetan for "Thundering Lion."
